At 700k I don't see how it affect the Markov situation at all. Plenty of space left to sign him still. |

PFFFFT... "Jealous," OF WHAT?  
An aging D who will be 40 in December, who has missed 116 games (47%) with a high of 23 points over the past three seasons? The Habs will be lucky to squeeze 40 games out of this hurt bag.
One year and $750K or not, as a Leafs fan I'd rather develop our youth/future and potentially showcase our D for an upgrade than waste those minutes on an old injury prone D. With the Habs' old D core, I wouldn't be surprised if many of them felt the same way. |

 why am I not suprised that Bergevin again fails to make any moves of significance to improve the team. This is a straight up downgrade to Markov. |
